The Torch Run announces the arrival of the Turin 2025 Winter World Games and represents a great opportunity to raise awareness throughout the country: people of all ages, schools and associations are involved in the race towards full inclusion. 25 February 2025: In Athens, the flame that will later light the tripod is lit, kicking off the Special Olympics Winter World Games.26 February: Torch blessed by the Holy Father in the VaticanFrom 1 to 7 March, the Final Leg begins, the last stage that, passing through the main towns in Piedmont, will reach Turin for the Opening Ceremony on Sunday 8 March at the Inalpi Arena. 90 runners, divided into 8 teams, are involved, who will simultaneously carry the flame of hope along a route that winds its way through the streets of the cities identified in Piedmont to reach a symbolic square, welcomed by a large number of athletes, volunteers and students. The group of runners consists of 80 athletes from law enforcement agencies from all over the world and 10 Special Olympics athletes.
